My AI Automation Journey

I started working on this outbound prescreening agent because I saw a real problem. I was talking to an owner of a recruiting agency and realized they were drowning in lead lists, spending hours calling people who never picked up or weren’t a fit. Most didn’t have time to follow up consistently, and when they did, they weren’t getting results.

So I started experimenting on an automated solution to get around that. At first it was just a basic call bot, but over a few months, I built something smarter. I trained the agent to hold real conversations, ask the right questions, and return clear results. It took a long time - testing, rebuilding flows, refining the tone — until I had something that actually worked.

Now, the AI makes the call, screens the lead, and books a consultation if they’re interested. All the info gets logged in Google Sheets and passed back to the recruiter. It’s fully automated and runs in the background like a 24/7 assistant.

Since launching, I’ve already landed my first client and made money from this project. It’s a real product solving a real problem, and it’s just the beginning.

How It Works:

- Vapi: powers the natural AI voice
- Make.com: connects all the tools and automates the logic
- Google Sheets: stores and organizes all the lead outcomes
